WHO ARE WE?

The Guild is a collaberation of New Zealands most experienced Film, TV, Stage and Outdoor event Armourers. Membership has evolved by close cooperation and trust over many years and is by invitation only. From the films of Peter Jackson to TV series, Operas and plays, the Wellington Festival and even the Edinburgh Military tattoo when it came to New Zealand, our small collective of experienced armourers have successfully managed them all. Our overseas contacts have seen us supply and assist with Australian TV and film production and work on film in south east asia. We are not film guys who have worked with guns , we are gun and related equipment guys with lifetime experience who are also experienced in the specialist enviroment that is the theatrical world.

WHAT DO WE DO?

We have a vast range of firearms of all eras and the skilled workshops to create or convert just about anything to suit your needs and budget. The guild has developed its own standards for safety and reliability both with weapons and various types of blank ammunition. Generally we can source or manufacture the right thing for your project and our networks also include the abilty to source related props and even military vehicles for instance. We can train your actors and provide the on site supervision and advice you need to comply with the health and safety regulations as well as the Arms Act.

HOW IT WORKS

To promote the best standard of safety and ability to comply with the regulations (not least the Arms Act) the guild has created this contact point for those who may not already be able to contact a member directly as for obvious security reasons we do not advertise our business addresses . We cover the whole country and are ready to offer at the least our advice to the great and the small regardless of the project. We would rather be contacted than have people attempt to do things that can become very dangerous if not managed correctly and indeed even the use of airsoft guns now popular with CGI heavy productions carry risk both physical and legal.
